About the Role

The engineer will perform wind and solar electrical power studies at development, construction, and operation stages, covering ampacity, short-circuit, reactive power, grounding, arc-flash, and system impact analyses. Project models will be built using ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E, and results will be documented in clear, organized technical reports with equipment ratings and design parameters. The role requires interfacing with interconnection, substation, solar, wind, and energy-storage engineers, as well as project coordinators and managers, while managing multiple studies and ensuring QA/QC of deliverables. • Conduct wind and solar power studies (ampacity, short circuit, reactive power, grounding, arc flash, system impact) across development, construction, and operation phases. • Model projects using ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E. • Prepare clear, well-organized technical reports and specify equipment ratings and design parameters. • Collaborate with interconnection, substation, solar, wind, energy storage, and project teams; manage deliverables and exceed client expectations. • Manage multiple studies and projects simultaneously; perform QA/QC of study packages.
