About the Role
The manager will be responsible for revenue growth, P&L management, high staff utilization, and maintaining technical quality across natural‑resource studies, NEPA assessments, and multi‑million‑dollar permitting projects, while also mentoring and developing the team. • Lead and develop a team of ~60 environmental professionals across the southeastern U.S. • Drive revenue growth and manage department P&L while ensuring high staff utilization and quality. • Oversee natural resources studies, NEPA assessments, and multi‑million‑dollar permitting projects. • Review and develop proposals, business plans, and financial tracking for the department. • Advise regional managers on staff recruitment, retention, and technical excellence strategies. • Maintain technical roles as project manager, lead verifier, or technical lead as needed. • Collaborate with Project Delivery Leads to optimize financial performance and client satisfaction. • Identify and resolve operational challenges, creating standards and guides for resource activities. • Execute regional business development and client management initiatives. • Ensure compliance with federal and state permitting requirements.

What You Bring
The role requires a BA/BS in Environmental Sciences (or equivalent), at least 10 years of relevant experience with 2 years of leadership, a valid driver’s license, and U.S. citizenship; preferred candidates hold an advanced degree or MBA and have 15+ years of Southeast‑focused permitting experience. • BA/BS in Environmental Sciences plus 10+ years experience, including 2 years in leadership. • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass motor vehicle records check, and U.S. citizenship required. • Preferred: MA/MS or MBA; 15+ years in natural resource investigations in the Southeast. • Proven ability to manage interdisciplinary teams delivering complex environmental documents. • Experience in fiscal management, cost reporting, and staff supervision.
