Planning & Delivery Leader

About the Role

The Planning and Delivery Lead role is based in Indianapolis, IN, and follows a hybrid schedule that requires three days per week in the office. Reporting to the Purchasing team, the incumbent will oversee delivery schedules and manage relationships with a diverse group of suppliers supporting the North American external supply chain. This fast‑paced, highly visible position ensures internal customers receive reliable supply. Key duties include partnering with cross‑functional groups to guarantee uninterrupted material flow to manufacturing sites, applying production‑flow, load and capacity insights to set realistic supplier delivery commitments, and maintaining SAP data integrity while ensuring ERP compliance. The role also focuses on reducing external supply chain risk, balancing delivery and inventory costs, and communicating long‑term commitments alongside recovery plans for essential components. Continuous improvement initiatives are driven through the Rolls‑Royce Production System and other lean methodologies. • Manage supplier relationships and delivery schedules for a mix of suppliers supporting the North American supply chain. • Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure continuous supply to manufacturing facilities. • Apply production flow, load, and capacity planning to establish credible supplier delivery commitments. • Maintain data integrity in SAP and ensure ERP compliance. • Minimize external supply chain risk while balancing delivery and inventory based on customer requirements. • Communicate long‑term delivery commitments and coordinate recovery plans for critical parts. • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives using the Rolls‑Royce Production System.

What You Bring

Candidates must embody Rolls‑Royce’s core principles of safety, integrity, simplicity, and impact. Minimum qualifications are an associate’s degree with four years of supply‑chain experience, a bachelor’s degree with two years of experience, a master’s degree, a JD/PhD, or six years of relevant experience, and U.S. citizenship. Preferred attributes include vendor‑management or procurement exposure, SAP proficiency, project‑management experience, strong problem‑solving abilities, and effective internal and external relationship management. • Travel up to 15% domestically as needed. • Required: associate’s degree + 4 years experience or bachelor’s + 2 years experience (or equivalent), U.S. citizenship. • Preferred: vendor management/procurement experience, SAP proficiency, project management, strong problem‑solving and relationship skills.
