About the Role
Working on GFT’s roadway team provides the chance to contribute to transformative projects that enhance transportation infrastructure and community connectivity, from highways and bridges to traffic engineering. The role involves supporting client projects by creating engineering and construction drawings, performing basic calculations, and inputting data into analysis software. You will also participate in field inspections of roadways and highways, and contribute to project phases through drawing review and report proofreading. • Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD. • Perform basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software. • Conduct field inspections of roadways and highways to support project needs. • Review drawings, proofread reports, and provide engineering support tasks.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in an ABET‑accredited civil engineering (or related) undergraduate or graduate program and demonstrate interest or prior experience in roadway and highway engineering. Required skills include basic CAD, spreadsheet, drawing interpretation, technical writing, strong communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. Preferred qualifications include working proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation and experience with engineering analysis tools like Civil 3D and HEC‑RAS. These additional skills enhance the ability to contribute to complex design tasks. The role is based in Miami, FL, with core business hours of 8 AM–5 PM, and requires successful completion of a background check.
