About the Role

The role is accountable for comprehensive reporting across inventory, supply chain, and operations, delivering weekly metrics such as inventory levels, utilisation, and operational KPIs. It also manages key balance‑sheet accounts for inventory and work‑in‑progress, prepares monthly SIOP financials, and conducts performance reviews to track trends and forecasts. Additionally, the incumbent drives the operational forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning processes and executes month‑end routines within the Wimborne Finance function, supporting ad‑hoc business tasks while ensuring compliance with legal and health‑and‑safety obligations. • Produce weekly operational metric reports (inventory, utilisation, KPIs). • Manage balance‑sheet accounts for inventory and work‑in‑progress. • Prepare monthly SIOP financial statements and performance reviews. • Lead forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning for Operations. • Execute month‑end finance routines and ad‑hoc tasks in Wimborne Finance. • Ensure compliance with legal duties and health‑and‑safety standards.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings solid manufacturing finance experience, proficient ERP usage and a good grasp of accounting principles, particularly inventory reporting and standard costing. Desirable expertise includes Power BI and professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA. Strong analytical skills are required to manage large data sets, identify trends and collaborate with operational partners to optimise stock levels and efficiency. Excellent communication, influencing abilities and relationship‑building skills are essential to work effectively at all organisational levels, especially senior leadership, within a fast‑paced environment with demanding reporting requirements. • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing finance (essential). • Proficient ERP user (essential) with strong data‑analysis skills. • Knowledge of Power BI (desirable) and CIMA/ACCA qualification (desirable). • Expertise in inventory reporting, standard costing, and large‑data trend analysis. • Ability to influence senior leaders and build constructive relationships across the business. • Thrive in a fast‑paced environment with robust reporting demands.
