Senior Project Manager - Power Systems
Lead large, complex Power Quality projects ensuring delivery, safety, and financial targets.

About the Role
You will lead the project team allocated to the project, establish the execution approach, define main guidelines, allocate tasks, motivate and monitor internal and external resources, and provide performance feedback on allocated resources. In partnership with the Project Controls department you will define all project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule, and risk management, ensuring proactive planning for every phase of execution. You will monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, financials, invoicing status, costs, expenses, and cash flow, while identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks and capturing lessons learned for formal project close‑out and customer acceptance. You will ensure consistent application of contract and claims management according to Hitachi Energy policies, coordinate with Supply Chain Management to procure required services, materials, and equipment, and support supplier negotiations, claims, and project changes. Acting as the key customer contact and escalation point, you will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicate effectively, and coach and provide feedback to project staff. Using standard processes you will ensure compliance with safety regulations, contractual requirements, and international standards, apply and improve tools and processes, and conduct root‑cause analysis to prepare for incidents related to field services. You will guarantee that projects follow and comply with company health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies, and you will uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity in all actions. • Lead execution of large, complex power quality projects (e.g., STATCOM, Synchronous Condensers) ensuring compliance with policies, contracts, quality, HSE, and schedule. • Direct project team, define execution approach, allocate tasks, motivate and monitor internal and external resources. • Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, financials, schedule, and risk management in partnership with Project Controls. • Monitor project progress, resource utilization, financials, invoicing, costs, cash flow, and manage risks and lessons learned. • Manage contract and claims processes, coordinate procurement of services, materials, and equipment with Supply Chain. • Serve as primary customer liaison and escalation point, building strong stakeholder relationships and coaching staff. • Ensure adherence to safety, contractual, international standards and apply continuous improvement and root‑cause analysis. • Uphold health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies and Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, has more than 10 years of project management experience delivering large high‑voltage power system projects for an EPC or utility, is PMP (PMI) or AIPM certified, and is proficient with MS Word, Excel, P6, with strong negotiation and English communication skills. • Minimum 10 years experience delivering large HV power system projects, Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, PMP/AIPM certification, proficient with MS Office, P6, and strong negotiation skills.
