About the Role

The technician will handle work requests, maintenance projects, and operational assignments with minimal supervision, escort vendors, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. They will operate and troubleshoot automation systems such as BMS Metasys, monitor system alarms, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve departmental goals. The position includes participation in on‑call rotations, maintaining a safe and OSHA‑compliant work environment, and performing root‑cause analysis with corrective actions. • Complete work requests, maintenance projects, and operational assignments with minimal supervision. • Escort vendors and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Operate and troubleshoot BMS (Metasys) automation systems. • Monitor system alarms and perform root‑cause analysis with corrective actions. • Participate in on‑call rotation for off‑hour emergencies. • Maintain a safe, clean, OSHA‑compliant work environment. • Lead routine and non‑routine maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance and calibration in CMMS. • Monitor critical utilities (WFI and RO systems) and address systemic issues. • Utilize power and hand tools safely; interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings. • Build strong relationships with manufacturing, quality, and external stakeholders. • Apply Good Engineering Practices and ensure accurate GMP documentation. • Perform Job Hazard Analysis and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.

What You Bring

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Operations Technician to join our team as a Life Sciences Maintenance Technician. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our GMP manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with building systems, utilities, and equipment maintenance, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Ideal candidates possess strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to lead through influence, and a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. They demonstrate business acumen, adaptability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lb, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders as needed. • Hands‑on experience with electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and equipment maintenance. • Proficiency with BMS and CMMS systems; knowledge of GxP, OSHA regulations, and pharmaceutical equipment. • Physical ability to lift 50 lb, stand for long periods, and climb ladders as needed. • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
