About the Role
In this position you will collaborate with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to design, test, operate, optimize, and validate electrical systems in 24x7 mission-critical facilities such as plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and power-generation environments. You will lead and execute commissioning activities for power distribution, emergency power, lighting, fire-alarm interfaces, grounding, and protective relays, while performing hands-on field testing with industry-standard equipment. Responsibilities also include developing functional test procedures, reviewing design documents, troubleshooting deficiencies, preparing detailed reports, mentoring junior staff, and supporting the creation of commissioning standards. • Lead commissioning of medium and low voltage power distribution systems. • Commission emergency and standby power systems, including generators, ATS, and UPS. • Commission lighting and lighting control systems. • Integrate fire alarm interfaces and life‑safety electrical components. • Implement grounding and bonding systems. • Test protective relays and switchgear. • Perform field testing with power quality meters, infrared cameras, multimeters, clamp meters, circuit analyzers, and load banks. • Develop and execute functional performance test procedures and commissioning plans. • Review electrical design documents, submittals, and shop drawings for compliance. • Identify deficiencies, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and design teams. • Prepare commissioning reports, test documentation, issue logs, and close‑out packages. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field technicians. • Participate in project meetings, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate status updates. • Support development of commissioning standards, procedures, and best practices. • Contribute to SKM studies, Arc Flash analyses, and power system modeling as needed.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) and 10-12+ years of electrical commissioning or NETA-level testing experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities. Required expertise includes NETA testing principles, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and proficiency with power quality meters, infrared cameras, multimeters, and related tools; experience with SKM, Arc Flash studies, and power-system modeling is a strong plus. • 10+ years of electrical commissioning or NETA‑level testing experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred). • Strong knowledge of NETA testing principles, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards. • Proficiency with PQMs, IR cameras, multimeters, and related testing tools. • Experience with SKM, Arc Flash analyses, and power‑system modeling (preferred). • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and report‑writing skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects in active construction environments.
