About the Role

In this role you will maintain and repair the fleet of diesel and CNG trucks that serve over 20 million customers across the United States. Using modern tools and procedures, you will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently, contributing directly to community support and WM’s sustainability goals. The job demands a high level of skill and determination as you work on a variety of complex vehicle systems. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on all vehicles • Document parts usage and repair times on required paperwork • Assist senior mechanics on project work • Review and complete repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area
