About the Role
This role supports a newly awarded Victorian Government portfolio and is responsible for shaping how suppliers and subcontractors are engaged, managed and supported across the contract. Working closely with internal teams and industry partners, the Procurement and Vendor Contract Manager ensures procurement activities are compliant, value‑focused and aligned with government priorities. A key focus of the role is delivering Social and Industry Participation outcomes, including local industry engagement, Indigenous procurement, SME involvement and broader social value objectives, while maintaining strong commercial and governance standards. • Lead and manage end‑to‑end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contract award, and contract transition, ensuring all processes meet government probity and compliance standards. • Develop and execute procurement strategies that deliver measurable cost savings, improved commercial outcomes, and long‑term value‑for‑money for the client. • Conduct market research, supplier analysis, and category assessments to identify opportunities to optimise spend and drive sustainable efficiencies. • Lead end‑to‑end subcontractor management across the contract. • Build and maintain a compliant, high‑performing and locally capable vendor panel. • Deliver social procurement and industry participation commitments. • Oversee supplier performance, risk, and continuous improvement. • Partner with operations, finance, HSEQ and technology teams to support integrated service delivery. • Use digital tools and data to improve procurement workflows, reporting and insights.

What You Bring
The role requires experience in procurement, subcontractor or commercial contract management, a solid understanding of Australian procurement governance and compliance, and a track record of delivering social procurement outcomes, along with strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills. Desirable experience includes work in government, facilities management, construction or asset‑intensive environments, relevant qualifications, and exposure to Power BI, Power Automate or data‑driven reporting. Benefits
This role is based in BGIS’ Melbourne CBD office, close to public transport, offering a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the office and two days work‑from‑home. Occasional additional hours or site visits may be required to support operational delivery.
