About the Role
The Finish Painter will operate paint guns, identify and repair equipment issues, and follow a sequenced process to prepare bodies for epoxy primer. Responsibilities include using the in‑house mixing system, remembering paint and reducer numbers, and mixing and spraying a range of coatings such as metallics, acrylic enamels, primers, polyurethanes, spatter paints, Molycote, and under‑coatings. The role requires planning multicolored truck finishes, spotting and correcting paint reactions, and moving throughout the shop to meet tight deadlines. • Operate and maintain paint guns, troubleshooting and performing maintenance as needed. • Prepare bodies for epoxy primer and use the in‑house mixing system to blend paints and reducers. • Mix and spray various coatings, including metallics, acrylic enamels, primers, polyurethanes, spatter paints, Molycote, and under‑coatings. • Plan and execute multicolored truck finishes while identifying and correcting paint reactions. • Move throughout the shop, meet strict deadlines, and work long hours in diverse environmental conditions. • Adhere to Terex safety, quality, and zero‑defect standards. • Lift up to 40 lb (or 40‑100 lb with assistance/equipment) and perform tasks across multiple shop areas.
