About the Role
Within the Transport business unit, the team creates, drives and implements transport solutions for cities, regions and asset owners worldwide, covering everything from business case development to infrastructure delivery and maintenance. The unit also contributes to the Global Transport Sector Strategy, leveraging planning, engineering, environmental and management expertise across the full project lifecycle. • Assess development impacts and devise appropriate mitigation measures. • Design and commission transport‑related surveys. • Analyse transport data, draw conclusions and present findings. • Produce transport assessments, statements, travel plans, construction traffic management plans, servicing and delivery plans, and EIA traffic chapters. • Provide technical advice on feasibility proposals and develop transport engineering solutions. • Create highway designs during feasibility and concept stages. • Attend client and stakeholder meetings. • Assist with tender documentation and proposals for future work. • Conduct post‑implementation project evaluations.

What You Bring
Applicants should have at least three years of experience in development‑related transport planning, traffic management or highway engineering, with a proven ability to produce transport assessments, travel plans and construction traffic management plans using industry‑standard software. Desirable experience includes working on private‑sector projects for public‑sector clients, familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and the capability to manage project elements and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in development‑related transport planning, traffic management or highway engineering. • Proven delivery of transport assessments, statements, travel plans, CTMPs, servicing and delivery plans, and EIA traffic chapters. • Proficiency with software such as TRANSYT, LinSig, ARCADY, PICADY, TRICS and TEMPRO. • Understanding of feasibility, concept and preliminary highway design to DMRB and Manual for Streets standards. • Strong numeracy, literacy and clear written and verbal communication skills. • Private‑sector background with experience supporting local‑authority or public‑sector projects (desirable). • Experience with design tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MXRoad and vehicle‑tracking packages (desirable). • Ability to manage project elements and deliver internal projects (desirable). • Effective communication with staff and clients at all organisational levels (desirable).
