About the Role
The Assembly Technician assembles, wires, and modifies medium and high‑voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker compartments, power modules, and related sub‑assemblies following detailed guidelines. The role supports a culture of creativity and invention, allowing professionals to reach their full potential while contributing to company goals. Technicians work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, and oral or written instructions to complete assemblies per established procedures. They complete ISO, quality, and customer checklists, mount and install electrical equipment, perform wire operations, and regularly lift heavy copper components. Shortages are reported to Kanban inventory operators, and all assemblies are inspected for missing hardware and cleanliness. The technician also responds to change notices, customer‑requested adjustments, and development needs, assisting engineering and drafting teams as required. • Assemble, wire, and modify medium/high‑voltage assemblies and sub‑assemblies. • Follow electrical/mechanical drawings, sketches, and supervisor instructions. • Complete ISO, quality, and customer checklists and production documentation. • Mount and install electrical equipment; perform wiring operations. • Lift and assemble heavy copper parts; report Kanban inventory shortages. • Inspect assemblies for missing hardware and cleanliness. • Implement change notices and customer‑requested adjustments. • Support engineering and drafting with development work. • Train and coach colleagues to transfer knowledge and develop skills. • Work flexible hours and overtime as needed. • Use hand and air tools, step ladders, and cranes in a Lean environment. • Operate Microsoft Outlook/Teams and ENOVIA software.

The role includes training and coaching colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in teams are essential. Flexible hours and overtime may be required to meet business needs. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of industrial manufacturing experience, and proficiency with hand and air tools. They must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship; relocation is not provided, and applicants must reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC (active‑duty military exempt). Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Teams and ENOVIA, as well as the ability to use step ladders and cranes in a Lean environment, is required. • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; solve analytical problems. • Meet the requirement of a high school diploma/GED and 1 year manufacturing experience. • Be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside within 50 mi of Greenwood, SC (active‑duty exemption).
