About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician role supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across facilities. The position also involves installing and servicing automated packaging and distribution machinery, with opportunities to mentor junior staff. Daily tasks include enforcing safety procedures, executing preventative maintenance with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults in equipment such as belts, motors, sensors, and relays. The technician tracks inventory, maintains positive relationships across the operation, and may travel up to 20% of the time while working shifts of up to 12 hours. • Conduct scheduled maintenance and record all service activities on material handling assets. • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic failures in conveyor and packaging equipment. • Install, calibrate, and upkeep automated robotic systems within the facility. • Guide and train junior technicians to enhance team capabilities. • Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate supply logistics. • Travel to multiple sites, covering up to 20 % of workload, to perform repairs and installations.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent, be able to work flexible schedules—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and possess at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and performing predictive maintenance. Preferred applicants often have an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical technology, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint and schematic reading, and familiarity with CMMS, robotic or electromechanical maintenance, as well as knowledge of OEM safety standards. The role demands repetitive physical activities such as bending, crouching, and lifting parts averaging 20 lb (occasionally up to 49 lb), standing on concrete for long periods, and navigating confined or noisy environments, with occasional work at heights and on uneven surfaces. • Hold a high‑school diploma (or GED) and two years of hands‑on MHE repair experience. • Demonstrate flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Possess an associate degree in mechanical/electrical technology (preferred) and proficiency with CMMS. • Experience reading electrical schematics and blueprints, and working with robotic/electromechanical controls (preferred). • Ability to lift and maneuver components up to 49 lb and stand for extended periods in challenging environments.
