About the Role

Job Title HVAC Technician. The role involves operations and maintenance of all HVAC heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems, including window units, PTACs, fan coil units, heat pumps, condensers, evaporators, rooftop units, air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers, cooling towers and associated rotating equipment such as pumps, fan motors and gearboxes. • Perform overall facility condition assessments for client‑owned facilities and grounds. • Start up, regulate, repair, and shut down equipment while monitoring meters, gauges, and computerized controls. • Use hand and power tools to repair or replace components to manufacturer specifications. • Record operation and maintenance events in equipment logs. • Detect potential mechanical issues by listening to machinery. • Routinely check safety devices and correct any problems. • Develop strong customer‑service relationships with clients, employees, and managers. • Solve client facilities‑related problems. • Conduct day‑to‑day activities to ensure safety and comfort of occupants. • Maintain an efficient spare‑parts inventory of supplies, filters, belts, motors, pumps, lights, ballast, fixtures, and electrical items. • Execute preventive‑maintenance programs to protect equipment value and extend lifespan. • Report all equipment failures to a supervisor. • Report potential liability situations to a supervisor. • Maintain on‑call status 24 hrs daily for critical system failures as scheduled. • Perform daily inspections of company vehicles, equipment, and tools before use. • Report emergency situations to the client and C&W Services management. • Exhibit proper personal grooming and maintain company uniforms. • Follow client security regulations and procedures. • Provide project supervision for subcontractors. • Assist in recording and updating project status reports. • Help solicit on‑site proposals as needed. • Complete quarterly training assignments outlined in the personal development plan. • Finish an approved craft self‑assessment within 30 days of the signature date.

What You Bring

• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of hot water heaters, boilers, steam systems, and related rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes). • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems such as panel boards, transformers, motor control centers, emergency generators, and safety disconnects.
