• Lead structuring and evaluation of complex technical accounting transactions. • Partner with corporate development, treasury, tax, and legal teams to enable growth opportunities. • Provide expert guidance on accounting standards and ensure accurate external reporting. • Monitor emerging accounting issues and assess their impact on financial reporting. • Contribute to quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 10‑K, Form 10‑Q) with accuracy and compliance. • Support SOX compliance related to technical accounting policies. • Perform ad‑hoc research and analysis on technical accounting topics.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced senior manager to join the Technical Accounting group, which establishes accounting for complex transactions such as business combinations, partnerships, revenue, leasing, stock‑based compensation, hedging and financial instruments, and maintains global accounting policies. The role involves leading the structuring and evaluation of complex transactions, collaborating with finance, treasury, tax and legal teams, and providing strategic technical accounting guidance to ensure accurate external reporting. • Minimum 8 years of technical accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or major SEC clients. • Proven ability to research, document and resolve judgmental accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules. • Experience interpreting transaction documents for accounting and disclosure implications. • CPA certification required; additional credentials such as CFA are a plus. • Strong analytical, business acumen and communication skills.

The position is a backfill role located in Toronto, Canada (pay CAD 131,000‑181,000) or Dallas, USA (pay USD 118,000‑176,000), with base salary ranges reflecting role, level and location.
