About the Role

The manager will oversee all warehousing, inventory, and material distribution activities within the Operations & Maintenance organization, ensuring efficient material flow across the metro system and proper handling of tools, test equipment, and warranty processes. In this capacity the manager will lead a team, ensure calibration compliance, manage property disposal and coordinate inspections, while supporting internal customers and vendor relationships. • Supervise all warehousing and material distribution functions to maintain efficient inventory control. • Develop and enforce policies for receipt, storage, accountability and distribution of materials. • Manage calibration program for tools and test equipment, preventing issuance of out‑of‑date items. • Audit inventory levels, generate reports and recommend reorder or restock actions. • Participate in design, implementation and enhancement of the MMIS computerized inventory system. • Oversee warranty claims, evaluate validity and coordinate daily warranty operations. • Create and execute property disposal strategies such as sales, auctions and online bidding. • Conduct receipt inspections and failure reporting, working with contractors to resolve discrepancies. • Hire, train, evaluate and discipline staff while approving leave and assigning duties. • Allocate resources and monitor workloads to meet established priorities and performance standards. • Liaise with vendors to prepare specifications and manage supply purchases.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a solid background in supply‑chain or logistics operations, possess a relevant bachelor’s degree, and demonstrate strong leadership, planning and communication skills. • Minimum five years of experience in warehouse or inventory management within a large‑scale operation. • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field. • Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities. • Strong planning, organizational and coordination skills. • Knowledge of supply‑chain principles, safety regulations and compliance requirements. • Proficiency with computerized inventory management systems. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Preferred: APICS CSCP or CPIM certification, warranty and asset management experience, advanced data analysis, problem‑solving under pressure.
