About the Role

Interns will provide financial services support to profit centers, performing tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general‑ledger reconciliation and special services under the guidance of an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant. Responsibilities include processing vendor and subcontractor invoices, assisting with monthly close, handling audit requests and preparing progress reports. • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely accounts payable. • Process subcontractor invoices, verify lien waivers, contracts and insurance. • Assist accountant with billing compliance and accounts receivable. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Enter project-specific vendor data and prepare multi-project invoices for central posting. • Manage invoice-related administrative tasks (vendor setup, tax reporting, collect tax-exempt certificates). • Compile supporting documentation for Turner owner payment applications. • Provide periodic progress reports to supervisor.

What You Bring

• Enrolled in a 4-year accredited college, preferably majoring in Accounting or Finance, with at least one year of coursework. • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through leadership, volunteerism or community involvement. • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team. • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication abilities. • Proficient in MS Office, especially intermediate to advanced Excel, and comfortable with data entry.

Turner Construction is offering a seasonal, non-exempt finance internship in Denver, Colorado. The position is on-site at a Turner office or project location and will be posted throughout the 2025-2026 recruiting year. Interns will gain hands-on experience with a global leader in construction while working on real projects.
