About the Role
Candidates will be responsible for generating quotes for turnkey control projects by analyzing specifications, estimating labor and material costs, and drafting scopes of work. They will also support factory testing, oversee field start‑ups, and troubleshoot any systems that are not operating correctly. • Program PLCs, relays, and RTUs to meet automation requirements. • Develop and implement power transfer, load shedding, breaker control, SCADA, and generator control schemes. • Prepare detailed quotes for turnkey control projects, including scope definition and cost estimation. • Assist with factory testing procedures and coordinate field start‑up activities. • Diagnose and resolve issues in malfunctioning automation systems.

What You Bring
The position requires expertise in programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs), relays, and remote terminal units (RTUs). The role also involves designing and deploying various power control schemes, including main‑tie‑main transfers, load shedding, breaker control, SCADA development, and generator management. Applicants must possess at least a high school diploma, with a preferred Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and hold a Professional Engineering license. Required experience includes three years of PLC programming and five or more years in power system controls, along with knowledge of relay logic and diagnostic equipment. Candidates must live within 50 miles of Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; or Salt Lake City, UT, have a valid unrestricted driver’s license, and note that active‑duty military personnel are exempt from the geographic limitation. • Minimum 3 years of PLC programming experience with direct customer interaction. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a valid Professional Engineering license. • 5+ years of experience in power system controls and relay logic implementation. • Proficient with test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation systems. • Valid unrestricted driver’s license and residency within 50 mi of specified metropolitan areas; active‑duty military exempt.
