About the Role
The Engineering Co‑op Student provides mechanical and/or electrical design support in developing new components and products, as well as improving performance, reliability, and cost of existing ones. This role translates high‑level design concepts from engineers and product development teams into detailed part drawings and specifications, and leads testing efforts. The position offers hands‑on experience and coaching to learn motor design principles and applications. The Co‑op will perform testing to address customer requests, support manufacturing design and process change requests, and operate analytical and test equipment. They will work with global cross‑functional teams, participate in development projects by executing design and documentation, and lead design change investigations. Additionally, they will collaborate with mechanical design teams to create test plans. The student will manage the 3‑D printer, including loading files and materials, unloading parts, and performing maintenance. They will also support the documentation of layout, detail and assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Orders, and design records. • Perform testing to support customer inquiries • Support manufacturing design and process change requests • Operate and interpret analytical and test equipment • Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams • Execute design and documentation for development projects • Lead design change investigations • Create test plans with mechanical design teams • Manage 3‑D printer operations and maintenance • Produce layout, detail, assembly drawings, BOMs, and Engineering Change Orders • Apply mechanical/electrical design tools and SolidWorks modeling

What You Bring
Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Required skills include basic SolidWorks 3‑D modeling, strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and a self‑directed work ethic. A positive, can‑do attitude and the ability to prioritize time and resources are essential. • Communicate effectively in global team environments • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem‑solving, and self‑directed work ethic • Maintain GPA of 3.0+ while pursuing a relevant engineering degree
