About the Role
The Area Sales Manager is accountable for sales performance and margin enhancement across an assigned region while assembling and leading a best‑in‑class sales team. Responsibilities include staffing, training, motivating the team, and working closely with the division’s operating team to meet goals on schedule. Key duties involve coaching team members, assisting the Directors of Sales and Marketing with sales‑related tasks, implementing sales goals and training programs, guiding New Home Consultants on techniques that boost performance and customer satisfaction, and ensuring coordination for timely closings. The role also oversees escrow tracking, prepares accurate sales reports, monitors compliance paperwork, and represents the division at promotional events and sales meetings. • Drive sales performance and margin improvement across the assigned area. • Recruit, train, and motivate a high‑performing sales team. • Collaborate with Directors of Sales and Marketing to achieve divisional targets. • Coach New Home Consultants on effective sales techniques and customer satisfaction. • Manage escrow tracking, produce accurate sales reports, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Represent the division at promotional events and lead sales meetings.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least five years of residential sales, management, or real estate experience, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and auto insurance. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to handle confrontational situations objectively. The position demands regular on‑site presence, the ability to work more than eight hours per day, and physical capability to lift 50 + pounds and operate construction equipment. • Minimum 5 years experience in residential sales, management, or real estate. • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance coverage. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. • Capable of working >8 hours on construction sites, lifting 50 + pounds, and operating equipment.
