About the Role

You will be responsible for overseeing project execution, supervising work crews, drafting technical specifications, and conducting machine safety analyses. Continuous‑improvement methods will be applied to optimise solutions, and you will manage tender processes for heavy‑equipment procurement, installation and upgrades. • Lead and manage industrial engineering projects to improve safety and efficiency. • Supervise multidisciplinary work teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and unionized staff. • Draft technical specifications and conduct machine safety analyses. • Apply continuous‑improvement methods and develop process‑stability indicators. • Organise tenders for purchase, installation, or modernisation of heavy equipment. • Prepare Capex investment requests and assess project risks. • Design parts and tooling using CAD software (Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD). • Collaborate with operators and maintenance personnel on improvement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automated Production or Industrial Engineering, is a member of the OIQ, and brings 5 to 10 years of manufacturing experience. Strong project‑management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills are essential, as are fluency in French and English and proficiency with CAD tools such as Inventor, Creo or AutoCAD. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automated Production or Industrial Engineering and OIQ membership. • Possess 5–10 years of manufacturing experience with strong project‑management and analytical skills. • Proficient in French and English and experienced with CAD tools. • Demonstrate leadership, autonomy, initiative and effective teamwork. • Eligible to work in Canada for Hitachi Energy.
