About the Role

The Director will develop execution plans, manage budgeting, staffing, safety, quality, and procurement, and oversee either a single large ($150M+) project or multiple smaller ($25‑100M) projects. Responsibilities include supporting business development, building long‑term client relationships, reviewing financial and operational reports, managing contracts and change orders, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role also involves mentoring staff, enforcing HR policies, leading pre‑construction activities such as bid evaluation and proposal development, and supervising execution to keep projects on schedule and within budget. • Lead Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Superintendents to deliver industrial construction projects. • Own portfolio profit and loss, ensuring operational excellence and financial performance. • Develop and execute project execution plans covering budget, staffing, safety, quality, and procurement. • Oversee single large (> $150M) or multiple smaller ($25‑100M) projects to meet schedule and cost targets. • Support business development by cultivating long‑term relationships with owners, OEMs, and engineering firms. • Analyze financial reports, control costs, and negotiate contracts and change orders. • Ensure compliance with corporate, client, and regulatory safety and quality standards. • Mentor and develop personnel, enforce HR policies, and approve staffing actions. • Drive pre‑construction activities: bid evaluation, proposal development, risk assessment, and schedule approval. • Monitor execution phase, using metrics to forecast finances and maintain productivity.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a four‑year construction, engineering, or related degree (or equivalent experience) and have at least ten years of industrial construction, project‑level finance, and management experience, particularly with heavy industrial or complex mid‑to‑large projects. Required skills include strong cost‑control knowledge, expertise in EPC and design‑build delivery models, persuasive influencing abilities, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A deep understanding of commercial contracts, change‑order management, and safety practices is essential.
