About the Role
Key responsibilities include performing safe work on both energized and de‑energized overhead lines, coaching and training crew members, and leading hot‑stick operations. The Foreman conducts pre‑job or tail‑gate briefings, plans work using job prints or work orders, and supervises troubleshooting of primary and secondary systems. Tasks also encompass stringing overhead wire, setting poles and anchors, and installing components such as transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. Additional duties involve replacing cutout fuses, clearing faulted circuits, reconductoring, and managing line clearances while adhering to grounding and flag‑tag procedures. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized overhead distribution systems safely. • Coach and train crew members on safe, productive work procedures and hot‑stick operations. • Conduct pre‑job/tailgate briefings and plan work using job prints or work orders. • String overhead wire, set poles/anchors, and install transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot and supervise troubleshooting of primary and secondary electrical systems. • Replace cutout fuses, clear faulted circuits, and manage reconductoring jobs. • Identify primary and secondary voltage, induced voltage, and properly phase circuits through substations. • Perform grounding, sagging, pulling, tensioning, and use load‑bust tools safely. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order. • Travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at multiple locations. • Complete required paperwork and adhere to company safety rules and policies.

What You Bring
The Foreman is a skilled professional responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. The position requires at least five years of recent field experience, the ability to read and communicate effectively in English, and a valid CDL with a demonstrated safe‑driving record. The foreman must be capable of lifting over 50 lb, climbing various structures, and performing rigorous physical labor, as well as traveling long distances on short notice and working extended periods in diverse locations. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and the use of hands and arms, with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical vibration, and loud noise. The work environment is primarily outdoors, often in inclement weather and at construction job sites. Core competencies for success are self‑motivation, teamwork, and a customer‑oriented mindset, coupled with strict adherence to company safety rules and policies.
