About the Role
• Comply with all Zachry and site specific safety rules and oversee co‑workers for compliance • Follow direction from multi‑craft electrician, foreman, superintendent or project manager • Comply with Lock, Tag and Try work procedure for Sweeny Refinery and related facilities, overseeing co‑workers • Inspect all designated work areas for hazards • Participate in and complete the Zachry Craft Advancement Program (ZCAP) for Electricians per site guidelines • Perform detailed inspections on hand and power tools to ensure safety and proper operation • Safely use hand and power tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, wire strippers and drills, overseeing co‑workers • Examine blueprints, sketches, diagrams, building plans and specifications to determine circuit locations and equipment placement • Carry, cut, bend, connect and install conduit as defined in NFPA 70 (NEC 2014), overseeing co‑workers • Pull cables and conductors through specified pathways as defined in NFPA 70 (NEC 2014), overseeing co‑workers • Modify, fabricate and install cable trays as required per NFPA 70 (NEC 2014), overseeing co‑workers • Safely operate testing equipment to validate connections and circuit capability using clamp meters, ohmmeters, voltmeters and harmonics testers, overseeing co‑workers • Inspect and test all electrical equipment to ensure safe operation and certify proper function, overseeing co‑workers • Install and maintain temporary power systems and distribution as defined in NFPA 70 (NEC 2014), directly overseeing co‑workers • Install and maintain assured equipment grounding/bonding on equipment and facilities, overseeing co‑workers • Terminate wire/cable to electrical equipment such as outlets, switches, breakers, control panels and distribution systems, overseeing co‑workers • Observe all state and local building/electrical codes • Lead Safety Task Assessment (STA) meetings

What You Bring
• Must possess a TDLR Journeyman License, or TDLR Masters License, or NCCER Certified Plus Industrial Electrician or completed the ZCAP Journeyman Electrician Qualification program • Must be able to read and interpret prints, drawings, schematics and plans • Thorough knowledge of Electrician hand, power tools and layout tools • Must be able to work at heights of 300 ft. • Must be able to meet the physical demands and pre‑employment conditions • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days a week • Use mathematics to validate operation and installation methods per NEC 2014 standards • Active listening • Good decision‑making skills • Ability to work with others – team player • Good communication skills with co‑workers and supervisors • Physical demands: large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting; communication by talk and hearing; use arms/hands to handle objects, tools; may lift/carry up to 25 lb; occasional work at heights, ladders, platforms; vision requirements; must wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, steel‑toe boots) • Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Journeyman Electrician License • Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Master Electrician License • NCCER Industrial Electrician Certified • Achieved Journeyman Electrician Level Qualification through Zachry Craft Advancement Program (ZCAP) • MVR • NCCER • Apprenticeship license
