Job Highlights
About the Role
• Assist feasibility studies and write procurement reports. • Estimate and cost‑plan, producing and presenting final cost plans to internal and external clients. • Tender (single and two‑stage) and manage procurement, including the pre‑qualification stage. • Handle post‑contract cost variances and change‑control processes. • Conduct timely and accurate cost checks and valuations on larger projects. • Produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present them to the client. • Negotiate and agree final accounts. • Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages. • Lead cost‑management teams where appropriate to deliver the above responsibilities. • Deliver high‑quality cost management/quantity surveying across the full project lifecycle. • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. • Deliver MEP elements for clients with strong knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below). • Utilise digital software for delivering cost‑management services.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Cost/Senior Cost Manager – MEP to join our busy Real Estate team in Melbourne. The role supports developers, occupiers, governmental, health, education and technology clients on complex projects. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, client‑facing, and able to manage multiple projects, establishing early budgets, estimating, cost planning, tendering, procurement and post‑contract reporting. A solid understanding of MEP systems and the supply chain is essential. The manager must work collaboratively yet robustly with main contractors and their MEP supply chain to ensure project objectives are met. • Hold RICS (or similar) qualification or be working towards it; possess a degree or HNC level qualification. • Demonstrate commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills. • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both client‑facing and team‑based.
