About the Role
Responsibilities include client representation, generating scopes, schedules and budgets, leading projects from concept through construction, producing construction documents, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supervising specifications and shop‑drawing reviews, and mentoring junior staff. The manager also serves as the primary contact for transportation clients, conducts code and life‑safety research, and assists with proposal preparation. • Represent GFT Architecture to transportation clients and build trust. • Define project scopes, schedules, and budgets while exceeding performance targets. • Lead complex, multidisciplinary design teams to deepen client relationships. • Produce high‑quality construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and estimates. • Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation projects. • Ensure compliance with project quality requirements. • Conduct site visits and lead on‑site teams as needed. • Research client programs, guidelines, and standards. • Perform comprehensive code, life‑safety, and product research. • Manage projects from initial survey through design and construction phases. • Develop design concepts and presentation materials that convey project goals. • Coordinate technical details with engineering disciplines. • Oversee coordination of all project disciplines. • Supervise preparation of project specifications. • Review shop drawings and construction RFIs. • Mentor and guide emerging architectural design staff. • Prepare proposals in response to RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitations.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture and be proficient with Revit, BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. They should be familiar with aviation and transportation building types, possess strong writing and communication skills, and have in‑depth knowledge of IBC, NFPA, ADA, LEED and related standards. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. • Proficient in Revit, BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. • Familiar with aviation and transportation building requirements; SpecLink experience a plus. • Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail. • Collaborative ability to manage multiple projects with staff and clients. • Deep knowledge of IBC, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related standards. • Licensed/Registered Architect in the United States (preferred). • Minimum 15 years of architectural production experience (preferred). • Minimum 10 years of architectural project management experience (preferred).

Benefits
Preferred qualifications are U.S. licensure, 15+ years of architectural production experience, and at least 10 years in architectural project management.
