About the Role

• Interpret project requirements, scope, and deliverables. • Build trusted relationships with engineers through reliable input and outcomes. • Produce detailed layout drawings and sketches of complex or original designs. • Implement quality‑control processes for incorporating mark‑ups and deliverables. • Ensure outputs meet professional standards and consistency. • Coordinate with CAD staff, subconsultants, and project engineers to support production. • Provide guidance and collaborate with other CAD team members.

What You Bring

Freese and Nichols is searching for an experienced Transportation BIM/CAD Technician for its Central Texas office. The role supports transportation engineers by creating 3‑D CAD models and producing construction plan sets. • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of engineering design and technical support experience. • Proficiency in MicroStation; familiarity with OpenRoads Designer, GeoPak, or InRoads preferred. • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt, and solve problems to deliver accurate, high‑quality work. • Preferred: Associate degree in CAD.
