About the Role
As a Senior Estimator you will lead the bid process, collaborating with the Estimating Manager to organize and manage proposals. You will evaluate bid documents to calculate labor, material, and equipment needs, travel for pre‑bid meetings and site visits, and nurture relationships with clients, engineers, and consultants. Additionally, you will work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost data, prepare technical proposals, and develop post‑bid work plans, procurement schedules, and cost‑control measures. • Organize and manage the bid process with the Estimating Manager • Analyze bid documents to determine labor, material, and equipment costs • Attend pre‑bid meetings and site visits, building relationships with clients and consultants • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost information • Develop technical proposals and presentations • Prepare post‑bid work plans, procurement schedules, and cost‑control measures • Track production and perform post‑job analysis • Maintain a database of historical estimates and project records

What You Bring
This role requires on‑site work Monday through Friday at our home office in Evansville, Indiana; hybrid or remote arrangements are not offered. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, and staffing agencies will not be considered. Frontier‑Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, specializes in heavy civil and underground mine construction, delivering complex shafts and tunnels across North America, with projects such as the Purple Line Extensions in Los Angeles and the Water Tunnel #3 in New York City. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management and at least five years of experience in heavy civil, mining, or related construction fields. Candidates must have proven field engineering, estimating, scheduling, and technical writing experience, as well as strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, HCSS estimating software, and Primavera P6. Effective communication, problem‑solving, attention to detail, and the ability to read contracts, specifications, and drawings are essential, along with the willingness to travel overnight occasionally and work in underground environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management • 5+ years experience in heavy civil, mining, or construction fields • Experience in field engineering, estimating, scheduling, and technical writing • Proficient with Microsoft Office, HCSS estimating software, and Primavera P6 • Strong written and verbal communication and problem‑solving skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet firm timelines • Skilled at reading contracts, specifications, and drawings • Detail‑oriented with strong time‑management and organizational abilities • Team player able to travel overnight occasionally and work in underground sites
