Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical/mechanical equipment on the night shift.

About the Role
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical malfunctions on plant machines and equipment. • Install, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFD drives, vision systems, motor control centers, power distribution centers, and various motors. • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment, inspecting electrical systems for hazards and code compliance. • Install and repair electrical systems and components per codes, manuals, and schematics using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. • Operate lift trucks, man lifts, and boom lifts to work at elevated locations. • Fabricate devices and mechanisms to improve or repair equipment. • Perform welding, prototyping, plumbing, painting, masonry, piping, and carpentry as needed. • Support continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives in the facility. • Use CMMS and SAP for maintenance management. • Operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts. • Interface with vendors to troubleshoot, set up, and acquire machinery parts. • Troubleshoot PLC and CNC logic circuits and implement corrective actions. • Stand continuously, kneel, bend, and climb throughout the shift. • Manage exposure to high noise levels, forklift traffic, and environmental conditions.

What You Bring
The work environment involves exposure to oils, solvents, high noise levels, forklift traffic, and both indoor and outdoor weather conditions, and requires the use of personal protective equipment as dictated by company policy. • Hold a High School diploma/GED with 3 years of commercial/industrial electricity maintenance experience, or a technical school diploma, or an Associate’s degree in electronics/electrical systems. • Read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). • Reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV; no relocation assistance or immigration sponsorship offered. • Possess a valid driver’s license. • Have 2 + years of PLC troubleshooting or programming experience (preferred). • Possess 5 + years of electrical field experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting (preferred). • Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens software for PLCs, HMIs, and drives (preferred). • Journeyman Electrician certification (preferred). • Experience with mechanical power presses, roll forming, sheet metal fabrication, and GMAW welding (preferred). • Ability to work first shift for the initial 4‑6 months of training. • Knowledge of production machinery such as clutch/brake systems, gearboxes, hydraulic, compressed‑gas, water, and cooling systems. • Work at heights up to 40 feet. • Lift 50 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
