About the Role
The role involves installing and commissioning complex system field devices using standard configuration and commissioning tools. It also includes troubleshooting issues, resolving technical problems, and responding to basic warranty calls. The incumbent must maintain regular communication with Johnson Controls (JCI) teams, contractors, and customers regarding job progress and concerns. They support validation of complete system functionality and deliver site‑specific training to owners/operators on total building control systems. Additional responsibilities include providing training and technical support to Front Line Managers (FLM), operations teams, and sales teams as required. The role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding junior team members and advising leadership on appropriate technical solutions. Key responsibilities include installing and commissioning advanced system field devices, troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues onsite, managing basic warranty service requests, and communicating effectively with JCI teams, contractors, and customers about project status. What You Bring
Qualifications include a university degree with at least one year of experience, or a two‑year technical degree with at least six years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Required skills and competencies include strong technical knowledge of building automation systems, excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities, the capability to train and mentor junior members, effective communication and customer‑handling skills, and a solid understanding of commissioning tools and system integration. The position demands the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
