Night-shift welder performing FCAW & SMAW on bridge fabrication projects.
Job Highlights
About the Role
Welders at the Palatka location perform FCAW and SMAW processes to applicable codes, handling repairs and various tasks assigned by the shop supervisor. They must meet high production demands while delivering expert, high‑quality welds and strictly follow company safety policies. • Perform FCAW and SMAW welding to code, including repairs and miscellaneous tasks. • Prepare, clean, and set up work surfaces and equipment such as air arc, Grove welds, Flex Core, and Full Pin. • Follow proper welding procedures to achieve correct weld profiles and interpret weld symbols. • Maintain shop equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability and safety. • Coordinate with supervisor and team to complete projects on time with no defects. • Adhere to all safety policies and use required PPE at all times. • Work indoors in a large warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and heavy steel; wear safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, steel‑toed boots, and respirator when required.

What You Bring
Work is performed in a large indoor warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to dust, paint fumes, noise, and heavy steel. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, steel‑toed boots, and a respirator for specific operations. • Read, write, and comprehend English; read metric measurements. • Adapt to work priorities, communicate effectively, meet deadlines, and collaborate as part of a team. • High school diploma or GED required; welding experience preferred but not required. • Lift 40 lb, carry 30 lb, push/move objects up to 50 lb, pull up to 122 lb; stand, walk, stoop, and kneel for most of the shift; reach overhead and bend; use agile fingers and thumbs.

Benefits
The position is a night shift with a starting wage of $19.82 and a 48‑hour work week spanning Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm to 4:30 am. Overtime is available and double time is paid after 50 hours worked. New hires receive training on the first shift (5 am‑4:30 pm).
