About the Role

The position will expand the firm’s market presence on roadway, highway, and municipal projects, handling complex engineering design, marketing, and client engagement. It includes managing project design and delivery profitably while addressing design issues. Leadership duties involve operating with integrity, setting vision and strategy, establishing goals, fostering positive client relationships, and maintaining open communication with partners and the team. • Expand roadway practice and market presence in Tallahassee and surrounding areas. • Lead complex engineering design, marketing, and client engagement initiatives. • Deliver projects profitably while resolving design issues. • Provide vision, business planning, and strategic goal setting. • Build and maintain positive client relationships with open communication. • Grow and mentor staff, transitioning work to qualified team members. • Manage roadway projects with 10+ years of experience and a Florida PE license. • Leverage relationships with local agencies and municipalities to win work. • Oversee full lifecycle of roadway projects, including urban freeways and interchanges. • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected projects. • Autonomously direct and grow the business with potential for ownership and bonuses.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least ten years of experience managing roadway projects and hold a Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. They should possess a proven track record of winning and delivering work in the local market, strong relationships with local agencies or municipalities, and knowledge of the full lifecycle of roadway design, including urban freeways and interchanges. Ability to manage projects profitably, lead teams, and prepare proposals, scopes, and budgets is essential.
