About the Role

• Complete site visits within the assigned market. • Record clear field notes for construction drawings across aerial, buried, underground, and building applications. • Analyze sites and design requests to define project scope. • Deliver projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards. • Communicate concerns and updates promptly to the OSP Designer. • Represent Byers and the client professionally when interacting with internal and external customers. • Follow all company safety practices and policies. • Produce legible, hand‑drawn field notes.

What You Bring

The role requires a schedule that aligns with customer hours, local residence for frequent outdoor site visits in varied weather, and adherence to safety standards, with remote work possible when not in the field. • Possess understanding of telecom, fiber, and outside plant concepts (preferred). • Bring relevant experience with utilities, cabling, or construction. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills for daily teamwork. • Use computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Dropbox. • Hold a high school diploma; technical school or community college coursework is a plus. • Be authorized to work in the United States and have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. • Pass pre‑employment screening, including a non‑negligible driving record. • Show willingness to train, adapt to industry trends, and pursue continued engineering education. • Be local to the job area for outdoor site visits in various weather conditions.
