About the Role

The Leadman provides hands‑on leadership and technical guidance to production employees on the shop floor. This role supports daily production activities by coordinating work assignments, ensuring quality and safety standards are followed, and serving as a first point of contact for production issues. The Leadman does not have formal supervisory authority but plays a key role in workflow coordination and team support. • Lead and support production employees during daily manufacturing operations • Assign and prioritize work based on production schedules and supervisor direction • Provide on‑the‑job guidance and training to new and existing employees • Monitor workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and according to specifications • Perform hands‑on production work alongside the team as needed • Ensure quality standards, work instructions, and drawings are followed • Identify and communicate production issues, delays, or material shortages to supervision • Promote and enforce safety practices, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards • Assist with basic quality checks and documentation • Support onboarding and cross‑training of production employees • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment • Experience leading hourly craft or production employees preferred • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, fabrication, or assembly • Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting • Must be able to pass measuring tape skills test • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and production schedules • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours) • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb independently • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required • Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity • Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment • Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects • Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings • Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel‑toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection
