About the Role

The District Sales Manager will lead sales and marketing for the Nucor Plate Group in the South Texas and Louisiana territory, requiring extensive travel and a willingness to relocate. The role involves quoting and securing spot and contract business, providing forecasts, and recommending new customers while supporting strategic growth initiatives. • Lead sales and marketing for Nucor Plate Group in South Texas and Louisiana. • Quote and secure spot and contract business, provide forecasts, and identify new customers. • Support Plate Group and Nucor Enterprise strategic growth initiatives. • Uphold and lead safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. • Work safely in heavy manufacturing settings, using PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel‑toed boots.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field and proven experience in steel plate or related industrial sales. The position requires frequent travel (approximately 50‑75% of the time) by car and airplane. The role involves regular exposure to heavy manufacturing environments, high temperatures, loud noise, dust, and moving machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel‑toed boots. • Travel extensively (50‑75% of time) and be willing to relocate, using car and airplane. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. • Possess proven experience in steel plate or industrial sales.
