About the Role

In the role, you act as the on‑site project leader, overseeing hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout for assigned customers. You are responsible for the financial results of each project, including costs, billings, collections, and profitability, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and pursuing change orders to increase revenue. You will ensure designs and installations follow Johnson Controls standards and all applicable local, state and federal regulations, and you will manage material procurement, subcontractor selection, scheduling, and payment through the company’s web‑based tools. The position also requires you to provide technical direction, mentorship, and documentation to technicians, installers, and designers, and to communicate project status, forecasts, and warranty information to clients and management. • Lead on‑site projects from design through commissioning and closeout. • Manage project finances: costs, billing, collections, and profitability. • Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installations and subcontractors. • Ensure compliance with AHJ regulations, company standards, and safety policies. • Pursue change orders to increase project revenue. • Provide technical guidance, coaching and documentation to staff and subcontractors. • Communicate project status, forecasts and warranty execution to clients and management.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for LSS I holds a technical associate degree with two years of field experience (or four years equivalent) and has hands‑on expertise with access‑control, fire, video or related systems, along with required licenses and strong computer skills. LSS II candidates meet the same criteria with a minimum of four years field experience (or six years equivalent) and preferred knowledge of project accounting and costing principles. • LSS I requirement: technical associate degree + 2 years field experience (or 4 years equivalent) with access‑control/fire/video system experience. • LSS II requirement: technical associate degree + 4 years field experience (or 6 years equivalent) and preferred knowledge of project accounting.
