About the Role
The position encompasses a range of duties, including installation and troubleshooting of plumbing systems, ongoing maintenance and monitoring to ensure facility uptime and safety, client interaction and reporting, and administrative responsibilities such as compliance documentation and expense submission. • Determine piping system requirements, size, and layout. • Cut, thread, bend, and install pipes and fittings per specifications. • Interpret blueprints and drawings for residential and commercial plumbing projects. • Install, replace, and repair valves, pumps, fixtures, and related equipment. • Test piping systems for leaks and performance issues. • Respond to routine and emergency service requests with preventive and corrective maintenance. • Monitor and inspect facility plumbing systems to ensure uptime, safety, and asset integrity. • Document deficiencies, support preventive maintenance programs, and maintain related records. • Manage tool inventory, arranging repairs or replacements as needed. • Provide observations and recommendations to clients and assist with facility-related projects. • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, fire protection, and building code requirements. • Submit expenditures promptly and perform other assigned duties.

What You Bring
The Journeyperson Plumber must possess at least five years of experience and hold a valid provincial Certificate of Qualification. The incumbent is responsible for operating facility systems, delivering preventive and corrective maintenance, and performing routine services on mechanical and electrical equipment in line with company policies and trade certification, while adhering to environmental, health, safety, security, and fire protection requirements. Essential qualifications include a college diploma or certification, a valid journeyman plumbing licence, strong troubleshooting abilities, knowledge of relevant codes and standards, a safety-focused mindset, effective communication and mentoring skills, and the ability to work shifts, be on‑call, and meet security clearance and driver’s licence requirements. Additional assets are certifications such as BES Operation Class 1, Facilities Technician, or Systems Maintenance Technician.

Benefits
This is a regular full‑time role offering a salary between $61,850 and $77,313 annually, with the starting level determined by the candidate’s experience, education, and performance.
