Job Highlights
About the Role
Under general supervision, the welder fabricates and repairs compactors, containers, and carts using appropriate welding techniques. • Perform minor repairs and apply arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on various materials. • Repair compactors, containers, and carts, including flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose/repair electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors. • Complete safety checks, adhere to standard repair times, and follow OSHA/compliance standards. • Interpret prints, drawings, and verbal instructions to set up dimensions and tolerances. • Use fleet maintenance software to document parts usage, repair times, and required paperwork. • Assist senior welders on project work and respond to service calls for compactor repair.

Benefits
The position works Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with a base pay of $25 per hour.
