About the Role
The role is a Commercial Construction Superintendent based in North‑Central Virginia, responsible for overall on‑site administrative and technical management of commercial construction projects. The Superintendent organizes and directs construction activities, ensures compliance with design specifications, maintains schedule and budget, and upholds quality standards. What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and possess at least eight years of commercial construction experience, with a minimum of five years as a Superintendent on large‑scale projects. Preferred qualifications include MEP/datacenter expertise, proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors, advanced knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and productivity tracking, as well as proficiency with software such as Procore or Bluebeam. The position demands significant physical stamina, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in diverse weather and terrain conditions. Employees must adhere to OSHA safety standards, conduct daily safety briefings, and maintain thorough documentation such as daily reports, incident logs, and progress photos. The work environment is primarily on active job sites with exposure to heavy machinery, elevated areas, and varying noise levels. This on‑site role does not offer visa sponsorship, is non‑remote, and may require off‑hour and weekend availability. Relocation assistance is possible, and all hires must pass a pre‑employment substance‑abuse test and possess or obtain OSHA 10‑ and 30‑hour certifications. • Hold a BS in Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent experience with 8–12 years of relevant experience. • Possess 8+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Superintendent on large‑scale projects. • Demonstrated MEP/datacenter experience and expertise in construction methods and sequencing. • Strong communication, planning, and priority‑management skills. • Hold or obtain OSHA 10‑ and 30‑hour certifications. • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in varied weather conditions. • Eligibility for relocation assistance; position requires off‑hour and weekend availability.
