About the Role
The Driver Operations Manager oversees drivers across a designated market, ensuring timely receipt and delivery of equipment while complying with company policies and DOT regulations. This role coordinates dispatch, schedules, and equipment transfers, and collaborates with store locations and dispatch coordinators to maintain efficient operations. • Enforce all Sunbelt safety procedures and DOT standards. • Hire, train, mentor, and coach staff handling equipment pick‑up and delivery. • Manage team workload, delegate tasks, and ensure safety and performance. • Coordinate timely and accurate dispatch of rental equipment to customers. • Oversee equipment and consumable transfers across the market. • Create and monitor driver schedules and minimize yard idle time. • Review daily and weekly driver logs for compliance with DOT regulations. • Ensure drivers conduct daily truck inspections and operate safely. • Address internal and external customer complaints professionally and resolve issues. • Provide feedback to Counter and Service Departments on delivery and receipt timeliness.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of dispatching experience. • Strong knowledge of construction/industrial equipment industry applications. • Working familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities. • Knowledge of the designated delivery area.
