About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager reports to the Community Manager and oversees daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, handling rent delinquency, cash‑flow optimization, and acting as onsite leader in the manager’s absence. • Post payments and income from applicants and residents accurately and promptly. • Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable. • Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and manage evictions. • Ensure property meets budgeted revenue, expenses, and net operating income targets. • Post resident charges, utility bill‑backs, and handle move‑out charge statements. • Perform end‑of‑month closing procedures and generate reports. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff while ensuring policy compliance. • Lead staff to maintain high performance, harmony, and adherence to company standards. • Oversee leasing activities: show units, process leases, and maintain accurate documentation. • Implement marketing plans and resident retention programs such as events and newsletters. • Manage customer service, service request turnaround, and maintenance staff responsiveness. • Conduct property inspections, coordinate repairs, and manage vendor relationships economically.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), housing industry experience, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA; the role requires standing, moving items up to 25 lb, occasional ladder use, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and in varied weather conditions.
