About the Role
In this role you will observe and document field activities throughout the construction process, sample and test a variety of materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel, and perform the necessary calculations and data reduction to draft accurate reports. You will also operate field screening equipment, record readings, interpret engineering and construction plans, and maintain daily communication with contractors, technicians, and project managers while representing ECS as the sole site representative. • Observe and document construction field activities. • Sample, test, and inspect soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. • Perform calculations, reduce test data, and draft reports. • Operate field screening equipment and record readings. • Read maps and interpret engineering and construction plans. • Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Serve as the sole ECS representative on project sites. • Provide reliable transportation for site travel (mileage reimbursed).

What You Bring
We are seeking candidates who are actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field and have a strong interest in how building materials are used in construction. The position requires the ability to lift 40–70 lb repeatedly (occasionally up to 85 lb) and to provide reliable transportation to job sites, with mileage reimbursed; note that relocation assistance is not offered. • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related discipline. • Meet physical demands of lifting 40–70 lb repeatedly and occasional 85 lb lifts.
