About the Role

The STMS role on the Taumaranui team involves ensuring temporary traffic management plans are accurately followed, overseeing the setup and pack‑down of road closures and diversions, and leading toolbox and closure briefings. The incumbent will also train junior traffic controllers and STMS staff while maintaining safety for crew, subcontractors and the public. • Follow temporary traffic management plans and oversee road closure set‑up and pack‑down. • Lead toolbox and closure briefings, providing clear job details to TMO’s. • Train and upskill Traffic Controllers and junior STMS staff. • Ensure safety of Downer crew, subcontractors and the public.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a valid STMS warrant or US31963 with a Class 1 Full driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred), be physically fit for manual tasks, and be flexible to work shifts.
