About the Role
The Yard Jockey ensures safe operation of yard trucks to move and position trailers, load and unload materials, and keep the yard organized. The role also includes checking in drivers, verifying paperwork, and directing them to the appropriate loading or unloading zones. Daily duties involve coupling and uncoupling trailers securely, conducting pre‑ and post‑operation equipment inspections, and reporting any issues to the shift supervisor. The incumbent must load and unload trailers efficiently, maintain warehouse organization, and follow all safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a current OSHA forklift certification for powered industrial trucks and have 2‑4 years of yard jockey experience, including at least one year on OSHA‑regulated sites. Strong customer service, time‑management, and adherence to company policies and safety standards are essential.
