About the Role
The Road Mechanic position supports Sunbelt’s fast‑growing rental operations across North America. Technicians perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, power generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil‑&‑gas equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and minimizing equipment downtime, often in remote locations. • Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations. • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, with trade‑school training considered a plus, and possess 3‑5 years of experience servicing diesel, heavy‑construction, or specialty equipment. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required; some sites may need a CDL. Essential knowledge includes hydraulic and electrical systems, and applicants may need to supply their own tools. • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. • 3‑5 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment preferred. • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations. • May need to provide own mechanic tools. • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.
