About the Role

The Power Systems Engineer performs electrical power system network analysis, site reliability and safety audits, and electrical engineering design, delivering solution‑based proposals. This position supports industrial and commercial customers by enhancing the performance, safety, and sustainability of their medium‑ and low‑voltage distribution networks. • Perform power system engineering analysis, including protection coordination, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, power flow, quality, site audits, and medium/low‑voltage design improvements. • Prepare written reports summarizing analysis results, recommendations, and mitigation solutions. • Design electrical upgrades to meet sustainability goals such as microgrids while enhancing safety and reliability. • Collaborate with Solutions Sales and customers to qualify needs and propose energy solutions. • Conduct on‑site meetings to assess customer requirements. • Provide engineering cost estimates and bid proposals. • Apply applicable codes and standards to implement safe, reliable, and economical electrical systems. • Deliver technical support and quality control for assigned projects. • Manage project timelines and nurture long‑term customer relationships. • Travel to various customer locations across Canada as required. • Develop project engineering proposals, drive project development, and deliver customer presentations.

What You Bring

• Minimum 7 years of experience in power engineering studies or commercial/industrial electrical design. • Consulting engineering firm experience considered a strong asset. • Microgrid and electrical site audit experience viewed as an asset. • Proficiency with power system analysis software (ETAP preferred; PTW, EasyPower, CYME acceptable). • Hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence. • Demonstrate strong communication skills for interactions with customers, sales teams, and internal staff.
