Job Highlights
About the Role
The role involves setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of production equipment such as machine tools, chemical processors, assembly lines and packaging stations. You will manufacture products according to detailed specifications, schedules, cost and waste targets, and ensure quality standards are met. Daily tasks also include moving, packing, and sorting raw materials and finished goods, while monitoring output quality to identify and re‑work defective items. As a Senior Para‑Professional (S3), you are expected to have broad operational knowledge gained through extensive experience and possibly vocational or technical training. You will work under limited supervision for routine situations, provide guidance and training to lower‑level colleagues, and resolve non‑routine problems that require analysis. You will monitor daily and weekly production targets, striving for on‑time delivery and high quality. Improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements and equipment layout is a key responsibility, as is maintaining personal safety and safe work practices. Production data will be reported, future requirements forecasted, and product and process trends summarized in regular reports. • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machining, processing, assembly, and packaging equipment. • Produce transformer insulation components following specifications, schedules, and quality standards. • Move, pack, and sort raw materials and finished goods. • Monitor product quality and rework or discard faulty items. • Record daily production data for performance analysis. • Supervise routine tasks with limited oversight and train junior staff. • Analyze workflow, space, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency. • Ensure personal and workplace safety, adhering to safety and integrity standards. • Report production metrics and forecast future requirements. • Compile product and process reports by analyzing trends. • Maintain compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate maintenance and repair to keep equipment operational.

What You Bring
Compliance with internal and external regulations, as well as Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, is mandatory. You must follow established procedures, keep equipment operational through coordinated maintenance, and uphold customer specifications and government regulations. Candidates should hold a diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and possess 2‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably as a machine operator in transformer insulation manufacturing. A solid understanding of manufacturing methodologies, attention to detail, and the ability to work in shifts as part of a team are essential. Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, poka‑yoke or lean manufacturing is an advantage, and proficiency in spoken and written English is required. • Apply 5S, Kaizen, poka‑yoke, and lean manufacturing principles (preferred).
