About the Role
The Bridge BIM Team Lead oversees large drafting projects, leads and mentors CADD staff, prepares technical bridge drawings, and coordinates with design and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality BIM models and construction documents. • Serve as coordinator and planner for large and complex drafting projects. • Select, supervise, mentor, and train MO/KS CADD personnel and lead a team to deliver commitments. • Manage technical personnel and CADD section staff, coordinating with other sections and Area Bridges & Structures BC Leaders. • Prepare technical drawings for bridge design projects, leveraging geometry and structural knowledge. • Develop 2D and 3D models, produce design changes, general arrangement drawings, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms. • Collaborate with design originators to create complex multi‑view drawings and computer models. • Produce BDR‑level preliminary designs with minimal supervision. • Interpret sketches, models, and verbal information to determine appropriate views and detail drawings. • Select information from software, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides; provide advice on difficult problems. • Organize assignments to meet deadlines and manage construction drawing packages using reference/model files. • Ensure proper filing of drawings and develop cross‑divisional relationships for execution support. • Perform plan checking for conformance to standards.

What You Bring
• Technical degree or equivalent education and experience. • Minimum 5 years of digital design (BIM element authoring) and 5 years of digital delivery (model management). • Comprehensive understanding of discipline relations and building systems operations. • Advanced proficiency with 3D design software, coordination tools, and document management infrastructure. • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and communication tools. • Familiarity with industry standards, discipline codes, specifications, and automation/programming for efficiency. • Experience with 3D design software add‑ins, content creation, and management concepts. • Superior client service, communication, and presentation abilities. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills as first‑line technical support. • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize support requests and project work. • Energetic, enthusiastic attitude with strong work ethic and leadership traits.
