About the Role

In this on‑site role you will be a key member of both the finance and plant leadership teams at the Brea manufacturing facility, reporting to the CAM FastPositions Controller. You will act as a strategic partner to drive business results, influence operational decisions, and safeguard the financial health of multiple P&Ls in an environment that includes internal engineering, testing, and production. You will provide financial insights and business counsel to support daily operations and long‑term initiatives, partner with site leaders to analyze business cases and model investment scenarios, and develop clear, actionable reporting that highlights key drivers and tracks progress toward plant targets. Additionally, you will champion continuous‑improvement efforts by standardizing processes, eliminating waste, and enhancing data reliability across functions. Your cost‑accounting leadership will encompass all standard‑costing activities, including annual cost rolls, labor and overhead rate updates, and BOM/routing audits in collaboration with operations and engineering. You will own daily and weekly variance tracking, delivering insights on purchase‑price variance, labor efficiency, and volume variances, and work with engineering to produce pro‑forma cost estimates and margin analyses for new projects and bids. You will support accurate financial statements for multiple P&Ls, lead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, and uphold SOX compliance while continuously improving internal controls. Working with the Controller and plant leadership, you will identify and mitigate potential financial risks to maintain a strong control environment. • Serve as proactive finance partner on plant leadership team, providing insights for daily operations and initiatives. • Analyze business cases, model scenarios, and evaluate investments to drive data‑driven decisions. • Create and deliver actionable performance reports to track key drivers and plant targets. • Lead standard costing, annual cost roll, labor/overhead rates, and BOM/routing audits. • Conduct daily/weekly variance analysis on PPV, labor efficiency, and volume variances. • Provide pro‑forma cost estimates and margin analysis for new products and bids. • Support month‑end/quarter‑end closings, SOX compliance, and internal control improvements. • Identify and mitigate financial risks in collaboration with the Controller and plant leaders.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and brings 7–10 years of manufacturing finance experience as a business partner to operations and leadership. Required technical skills include ERP systems such as JD Edwards or HFM, advanced Excel, and BI tools like Power BI, while leadership qualities involve collaboration, influence, high integrity, a continuous‑improvement mindset, and strong communication. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 7‑10 years manufacturing finance experience. • Proficient in ERP (JD Edwards, HFM), advanced Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI. • Demonstrated collaborative leadership and strong communication skills.
